Performance calibration includes a cause-and-effect analysis of on-the-job performance, and correlating gaps therein. The objectives of this exercise are:

- Improving the quality of learning interventions
- Setting standards for post-learning performance outcomes
- Providing a basis for projecting the impact of learning interventions on the performance of the learners

| Performance calibration relies on actionable analytics and comparing this information with desired performance standards. Once the performance standards are set, it becomes easy to assess the learning path needed to bridge the performance gaps. Performance calibration also helps emulate and propagate the best practices of performers. This improves the predictability of the learning outcome. |
